June 2017 Mark 1 RU 1936 progress

The progress on mark one RU, 1936 has been steady without being spectacular.  Here we see the replacement centre castings, these have been cleaned and painted with red oxide.

Felt gaskets have been made to fit between the casting and its mounting plate underneath the coach.

Inside work has concentrated on the corridor and vestibule ceilings.  This is the new roof panel fitted just inside the vestibule at the kitchen end.

This is the view along the corridor where all of the ceiling panels have been replaced.

This is the inside of the former staff toilet, this is going to be a cleaning equipment cupboard.  It has been re panelled, repainted and finished with some Scotrail lino floor covering.
